Cameron Part 2: Desserts (and crab)

I just got the photos of our family trip to Cameron Highland (in which, that's my SECOND time going there THIS year). Most of the pictures were taken by my brothers. And since I posted the first set of Cameron with lots of flower micro shot, I present to you the drool-worthy reasons to visit Cameron Highland

I took this photo because of the bee inside the flower. Can you see it?

Strawberries, brownies and.... crabs? )

I got 2 wedding invitations on December 12- one in Semenyih and one in Klang; one of childhood friend, and one of high school friend. And 12th is also my best friend's (of 18 years) birthday (and I still have no present >.<). PLUS, I will probably be just arriving from Sungai Petani Kedah, that morning, depending on if we're driving, taking the flight or bus (in which, I have to reconfirm with the partner in crime).
I hate dilemma.

I dream of...

Fave Shots of the Moment

I'm BACK! with better mood! =P Things are still.... umm... unsettled, but part of it is done and over with. Come January next year and we'll know. Unfortunately it also means my only one week break in between the postings is sacrificed. I wonder if we could still make it for Genting Highland =/ And Rachie! if you plan to come during that one week, please do know I will definitely set some time for you!

Anyway! on with the photos! These were taken while I was doing Military Psychiatry in Terendak:
4 pictures. Click on the photo for larger image )

The lunch-turned-to-dinner that eventually led to the sleepover:

This place has become a regular meeting place for the 4 of us, I'm afraid.

Warning: I will not be responsible if you drool over these! )

P/s- I haven't started on my Secret Santa project yet >.< <- is panicking now

Tired

Hiatus

Everyone seems to celebrate Arashi's 10th Year Anniversary.

While I'd like to join the fun, unfortunately, I'm announcing my hiatus status from the fandom until further notice; minimum, I guess, until the weekends while I'm in Melacca/Johor for military and community psychiatry; or maybe longer if I find myself not in the mood of catching up.

Just a short message while I'm deciding to sleep or not since it's half past 1 a.m. and we're departing at 3 a.m.
I'm already light-headed, maybe I should take my 3rd coffee today.
(I'm swamped with work at the moment, plus tight-schedule. Angel, I feel your pain >.< )

Oh! P/s- HAPPY ARASHI DAY ^^

Wondering

"Tokei jikake no umbrella" Image

Tokei jikake no umbrella

When I first listened to this song, this was what I instantly had in my mind:
arashi in 20's suit + hats + grey/black/white background + at the back of an alley- preferably with brick walls and pebble roads + dancing to this song with UMBRELLA

(Rhi also thought so on the suit part! Actually, I said 50s, but after some google image checking, my bad, I was totally imagining 20's era :P )

I know there won't be any PV for this, but if there is one, PLEASE LET IT BE THAT! XD
(can I send telepathic thinking to whoever that will highlight this to JE? XPP)
Or, if there's live performance, please let it be this kind of image~~~~~~~~~~~

Arashi in Kreko

Kreko No. 29, Oct 11, '09 issue

Just a small bit in the J News corner. I don't exactly read Kreko but my brothers and sister do and I always got curious if they ever gonna mention Arashi in here. They did now xD (oh, and next to the article about Arashi, is about Yamapi dating a model or something)

P/s- If you want to translate this into English and post in other comm, please do so. I'm a bit caught up in work/open houses at the moment. They are talking about Arashi Challange Week.

I just realize something tho..... while browsing in arashi_on to check about this, I came across the English-translated post HERE Apparently it's from Japan Zone

On the other note, my housemate (and ex-groupmate for a year a.k.a. my muse and one who shares 'one who walk her own path' XP) suddenly PM me with a message that goes along the line of 'I can understand now why Nino is very likable after watching Door to Door'.
I was stunned O.o. Looks like I didn't need to convince her that Nino isn't as bad as she thought he was xD He's done it himself, or rather, his acting did XP

Closure

This is.... errr.... a closure for a fic (and its sequel) I wrote in www.arashi-forum.com/index.php?topic=1493.0 so if doesn't interest you, really, skip this. It's nothing important anyway. It's just that after I posted the sequel last week, I was still in a bit of writing mood but now writer's block + other commitments are accompanying me, so forget about other continuation whatso-ever.

I thought here would be a better place to post this rather than in that thread because it's going no where and where I ended it is still where I ended it. I'm just getting this off my system and thought I'd share this with some of those who have read Escape rather than letting it collecting dust in my laptop. It also means I have no intention to continue it (because I sucked at sequel/continuation and would definitely ruin the plot- That's just how I am, deal with it -.-| )

I told [info]slowcharlotte that IF there's a continuation, it would be based on the lyrics of Love in the Ice by Tohoshinki because surprisingly the lyrics fit the fic. Unfortunately, I couldn't go on beyond what I've written under the cut because writing more than that means ruining the whole fic and I'd rather stop here. PLUS I've outsourced my last brain cells thanks to the contract with [info]xrachiebunniex for Escape 2.

With that, I present to you: (p/s- this is especially for [info]drea_c  )

Closure: Love in the Ice )

Been wanting to capture some of these since the plants were sent from Sungai Petani last June. When I took the camera out to take the purple flower shots Rachie sent, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to get some from the garden too; after all, the evening sun was lovely. Please enjoy this~ ^.^

Special Education

I wrote this last night; there was a need to write this after seeing a case that I thought would never see.

It really is disheartening when you see bullied children in school. There are two big categories in here and my heart goes to these two categories. It really is sad when you think about it, especially when school is supposed to be the place where kids’ potentials are explored. It's rather a long article... no obligation to read if you're not interested ^^ )

On the other note, we didn't get the chance to visit our Osteosarcoma patient but I do hope he responds to the chemotherapy and would recover...

Tired

Osteosarcoma vs. Ewing Sarcoma

Elective starts today.
Child psychiatry is not only about 'typical psychiatric' conditions such as ADD or autism; it expends beyond that- on the first day, this is what we figured out.

When we were presented with the history, I instantly recalled the scenes in “Sukoshi wa, ongaeshi ga dekitakana”, an SP drama of a young patient who had E-wing Sarcoma. When I was watching the drama, I only focused on Ninomiya-san’s acting skills. But at the exact moment during the presentation, I somehow could understand the pain, agony and suffering of the patient.

In my head, the drama was no longer picturing an actor named Ninomiya Kazunari, but instead, I saw the patient we were told about.

To have Osteosarcoma at the age of 13, progressing so fast in the span of 5 months... how do you face that?

"Today's Memory": Images & Flowers in Cameron

I made this for those who are interested to know who's who behind the soft pastel art that I made a while ago ^^

We went to Cameron Highlands straight after our last paper; I was super excited because when we arrived that night, the weather was so cold and I really missed Perth's winter. And my first thought was "I want to migrate here and become a hermit and never to come out of the house!" XDD

Anyway, here are the photos: (p/s- these are for [info]hutmahbut  for inspiring me to take more flower photos; for [info]ai_nino  for mentioning me TWICE in her birthday countdown post XD ; for [info]sakurai_storm  for the past 3 awesome Arashism.fm radio shows!; and last but not least, for [info]bigfatwitch  because I'm already missing you, you evil twin sister!)

Today's Memory

Stress will either make me run away from that place, write or doing something impromptu...
In this case, I vented out by drawing using something that I've never used before- chalk pastel :P

Picture under the cut )

And this is my new toy chalk pastel XDD I used them on a mounting board... Problem now is to preserve the picture so it won't smudge T_T

P/s- I'm not good at drawing >.< Don't be too harsh, ne?

RL: Electives topic (headaches)

Flailing's over... at least for me. As much as I love this fandom and all the greatness and love in it, there has to be time for a pause.

The day before the screening, we had a briefing on Elective and Research... With that, break has been cut short to a month. After the next and final posting (which is Public Health for me) we will have a month's holiday (soooo tempted to go back to Tokyo... if only money is not an issue) and then a month of class for Research and finally a month of Elective before Year 4 starts.

The thing that irked me was that we were only given 2 weeks to hand in our proposal on what Elective we're doing. On that day, I pushed aside the thought in favour of the screening... Now that the screening is over, reality came back and choosing elective topic is inevitable.

I don't usually do this but I need a place to ramble this out. Don't read if it doesn't interest you )

I wished there's such thing as Arashi-slash-medicine-combi XDDD *brickself*

Deaieteii yokatta- AAA08 ’09 Malaysian Screening

(Please take note that this is directly written from my personal journal and that it was jotted at 11.51 p.m. of April 11th 2009)

Date: April 11th '09
Location: RedBox, The Gardens

For many who attend the screening today, the day/fun/excitement started at probably
10 a.m., but for us (Ai, Aimee, Julez and I) the day started about a month and a half ago. One meeting led to another, including online; a few ups followed by some downs; restrictions were covered by the other sisters; the sleepless/late nights, flu and coughs and finally the arrival of the agreed date: April 11th

Excitement, nervousness and anticipation, all mixed together… one and a half month of planning, hard work and some last minute frustrations and amendments, could we pull it through?

'Tis not a report, merely what I feel... )

If watching the concert DVD alone made you high, watching it on big screens and booming sound system would make you euphoric!

To the awesome 3 sisters I made during the planning and organizing, you know who you are, Kak Long & Lil Rascals (the twins)... to you three, I only have this to say: Deaieteii yokatta, hontou ni!

For pictures of the screening:

Off to Pangkor

In meeting last night, it was decided that I'd go with the boys who would be departing to Pangkor at 4 a.m. in the morning o.O

Fortunately later on I had a message saying that there was a change of plan and that I will follow another group that will be departing before noon. I had a relief sigh.

I'll be gone for the weekends (hence no internet for me this weekend, which means no UtaOni and other things that I'm already behind for the past week *cries*). We're organizing a camp with 2 orphanages we visited last year and since they live in Perak, the decison was to do the camp in Pangkor.

I had mixed feelings of going.
Initially I was okay for it. Towards the dates, I really didn't feel like going; I was even given a chance of choosing not to go (and I guess I could escape from it if I really wanted to).
I'm handling a slot with another colleague... Unfortunately our back up plans (we need speakers for the slot) all failed and I was panicking yesterday because we don't have any speaker for my slot. In the end, we have to take over the session and a few things surprisingly were running through my mind yesterday (as for what I should do to replace the speaker). And for that I have to go (the choice of not going was still there and I guess if I'm that evil, I'd just dump everything on my colleague; as it is, I don't work that way -_-;;; )

I just hope that whatever it is that I'm planning will work out and it won't be a failure. At times like this, I need Lady Luck on my side >.<

We probably arrive back from pangkor at late night on Sunday and I'll be having my exam on Monday... Next week doesn't look like a relax schedule for me too, seeing at how two classes were cancelled this week and would have to be replaced.
I wish I will be able to relax a bit next weekend; even one day is fine since I'm planning to go on-call on Saturday >.<

P/s- I feel like kicking the college for blocking ym, msn, mf and even mu ~gRrrr!

I dream of...

O&G: Welcome to Jurassic Park!

I was waiting for that kind of welcome from one of the specialists since the past groups has been greeted that way when they first started Obstetrics and Gynaecology posting...
But maybe I was too hopeful?

Anyway, the description of Jurassic Park isn't that far anyway...
So far the scolding and nagging from the specialists haven't reached our ears... yet XP

I'll rant more if there are interesting cases ^^
